React Native
React Native is a framework for building iOS and Android apps from a single JavaScript or TypeScript codebase, rendering real native interface components rather than a web view.
Its practical advantages are the ecosystem and the hiring pool: it shares language and much tooling with web development, so a team can work across both, and libraries exist for most common needs.
The rough edges are consistent — anything needing a platform capability without a maintained library requires writing native code, and version upgrades occasionally break dependencies. Neither is disqualifying; both are worth budgeting for.
Why it matters
For most business apps this is the sensible default. It's also the reason a mobile MVP can be quoted in thousands rather than tens of thousands.
We build this. App Development starts at $1,049 — every price is published.
