Where do I upload the sitemap?+
Place sitemap.xml in your site root (https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml), reference it from robots.txt, and submit it in Google Search Console.
What is a good priority value?+
Use 1.0 for your home page, 0.8 for top-level pages, 0.6 for articles, and lower values for archive pages. Search engines treat these as relative hints, not hard rankings.
How big can a sitemap be?+
A single sitemap should have at most 50,000 URLs and be under 50MB uncompressed. For larger sites, split into multiple sitemaps and reference them from a sitemap index file.
