Buyer's guide · Telangana

Best website development companies in Telangana (2026)

There is no single best company — there are five kinds of provider, and the right one depends on what your site has to do. This guide covers what each tier is good for, what it costs, and the eight things to check before you pay anyone, whether they are in Hyderabad, Warangal or anywhere else in the state.

The short answer

How do you choose a website development company in Telangana?

Website development in Telangana is bought from five kinds of provider: freelance developers, small local agencies, specialist web studios, large Hyderabad IT services firms, and DIY builders like Wix or Shopify. Cost rises across that list and so does the size of project each can handle sensibly, so the first decision is which tier the work belongs in rather than which company to call. Whichever tier you pick, the checks that matter are the same: open three of their recent sites on a phone, confirm the domain, hosting and code will be in your own accounts, get the scope in writing with what is excluded named explicitly, and check whether SEO is built into the build or sold back to you afterwards. Prices depend far more on what the site must do than on which district the company sits in — a brochure site, an ecommerce store and a booking platform are three different products. This guide is published by Mana Studio, a web development studio in Warangal, Telangana, whose own business websites start at ₹8,000; it deliberately does not rank named competitors, because we cannot verify another firm's prices or quality and a comparison written by a competitor is not evidence.

The five kinds of provider you are choosing between

In rough order of cost. Rupee figures appear only where they are our own published prices — we do not publish other firms' numbers, because we have no way to verify them.

  1. 01

    Freelance developer or designer

One person, usually found through a referral, Instagram or a marketplace.

    Cost
Lowest cost of the five, and the widest spread — one freelancer's quote and another's for the same brief can differ several-fold.
    Good for
A first site for a shop, clinic or single-location service business that needs to exist online and be findable.
    Watch for
Continuity. A freelancer who takes a full-time job mid-project leaves you with a half-built site and no handover. Ask who holds the domain, the hosting and the code, and get it in your own accounts before you pay the final instalment.
  2. 02

    Small local agency

Three to fifteen people, an office in Hyderabad, Warangal or another district town, doing web work alongside printing, branding or social media.

    Cost
Moderate. Usually quoted as a package with a fixed page count.
    Good for
Businesses that want someone reachable in person and are buying a website alongside other marketing work.
    Watch for
Template reuse. Ask to see three sites they built in the last year and open them on a phone. If they load slowly or look like each other with the logo swapped, that is what you are buying.
  3. 03

    Specialist web studio

A focused team that builds websites and web applications and does not also print flyers. Usually remote or hybrid, working across a state or a country rather than one town.

    Cost
₹8,000 upward for a business website; custom applications quoted to scopeThis is the tier Mana Studio is in, and the figure is our own published starting price — not a market average.
    Good for
Businesses that need the site to perform — rank on Google, load fast, take bookings or payments — rather than simply be present.
    Watch for
Scope discipline. A studio that will not put what is in and what is explicitly out in writing before starting is where change-request billing comes from.
  4. 04

    Large IT services firm

The Hyderabad software companies with hundreds or thousands of staff, whose main business is enterprise and offshore development.

    Cost
Highest of the five, with minimum engagement sizes that rule out most small-business budgets.
    Good for
Enterprise platforms, regulated industries, and projects that need a contract a procurement department will accept.
    Watch for
Fit. A ₹50,000 website is below the threshold where a firm like this can staff the work seriously, and you will be handed to whoever is on the bench.
  5. 05

    DIY website builder

Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or WordPress with a bought theme, set up by you or a relative.

    Cost
Cheapest by a distance — a monthly subscription and your own time.
    Good for
Validating an idea, or a business whose customers all arrive through Instagram and WhatsApp rather than search.
    Watch for
The ceiling. These are genuinely fine until you need speed, custom functionality or serious SEO, at which point the rebuild costs more than building it properly would have.

Eight checks to run before you pay anyone

All of these you can do yourself in an afternoon. Criteria you cannot verify are decoration.

  1. 1

Open three of their recent sites on your phone

Not the portfolio screenshots — the live sites. Slow load, text you have to pinch to read, or a menu that does not work is what your site will be like. Run one through Google PageSpeed Insights while you are at it.

  2. 2

Ask who owns the domain, hosting and code

The answer should be you, in your own accounts, from day one. Agencies that hold your domain hostage are common enough that this question is worth asking before anything else.

  3. 3

Ask for the scope in writing before you pay

Page count, what each page contains, what is explicitly not included, and what a change costs after sign-off. Most disputes are scope disputes.

  4. 4

Check whether SEO is built in or sold separately

Titles, headings, structured data, a sitemap, fast load and a mobile-first layout should be part of building the site. If they are quoted as a separate add-on, you are being charged twice for one job.

  5. 5

Find out who actually writes the content

A site full of placeholder copy about 'innovative solutions' ranks for nothing. Either they write real content about your business or you do — but somebody has to, and it should be agreed before launch, not after.

  6. 6

    Ask what happens after launch

Who fixes it when something breaks, for how long, and at what cost. A one-year support window is a reasonable thing to expect; 'we'll sort it out' is not a support policy.

  7. 7

Ask them to name a project that went wrong

Everyone has one. A company that cannot name a single difficult project is either very new or not being straight with you, and the answer tells you more about how they work than the portfolio does.

  8. 8

Check they can work in the language your customers use

In most of Telangana that means English and Telugu, sometimes Hindi. It matters for the content on the site and for the WhatsApp conversation with your customer afterwards.

Where Mana Studio fits

We are tier three — a specialist web studio, based in Warangal, working across Warangal, Hanumakonda, Kazipet and Hyderabad — and across Telangana, India. Business websites start at ₹8,000, custom web applications are quoted to scope after a call, and the scope is written down before anything is built. The domain, hosting and code go into your accounts from the start. We work in English, Telugu and Hindi.

If your project belongs in tier one or tier five, say so and we will tell you — a ₹5,000 single-page site and a validation-stage idea are both better served elsewhere, and taking that work would waste your money and our time.

Questions buyers actually ask

How much does a website cost in Telangana?+

It depends far more on what the site has to do than on where the company is. Mana Studio's own business websites start at ₹8,000 and custom applications are quoted to scope; that is our published price, not a market average. Across the market the honest answer is that a simple brochure site, an ecommerce store and a booking platform are three different products with three different budgets, and any company quoting all three at one number has not asked enough questions yet.

Is it better to hire a company in Hyderabad or in my own district?+

For most businesses it makes no practical difference, because the work runs over calls, WhatsApp and screen shares regardless. Hyderabad has the deepest pool of firms; district towns like Warangal, Karimnagar and Nizamabad have fewer but often cheaper options. Choose on the portfolio and the scope document, not the pin code — with one exception: if you genuinely need someone to sit in your office during the project, hire locally.

How long should a website take?+

A simple business site is a matter of days once the content is ready; a standard multi-page site is one to two weeks; an ecommerce store or a custom application runs longer and should be delivered in stages so you see it working before the end. The most common cause of delay is not development — it is waiting for photographs, text and logins from the client, so having those ready before you start is the single biggest thing in your control.

What should I be most careful about?+

Three things, in order. Not owning your own domain and hosting. Not having the scope in writing. And paying the full amount up front — a deposit is normal, paying everything before you have seen anything is not.

Do I need SEO as well, or is a good website enough?+

A well-built site is the foundation — fast, mobile-first, properly structured — but it does not by itself make you rank for competitive terms. For a local business, the two things that move the needle first are a properly filled-out Google Business Profile and real reviews, both of which are free and neither of which is a website. Ongoing SEO is worth paying for once those are done and you are competing for terms that bring in real buyers.

Who wrote this page?+

Mana Studio, a web development studio based in Warangal, Telangana — which means we are one of the companies in the market this page describes. That is why there is no ranked list of named competitors here and no invented price table for other firms: we cannot verify their numbers, and a comparison written by a competitor is worth what you paid for it. What is here instead is the set of checks we would want a buyer to run on us.
