Should I launch on Android only, or on both stores?

If your users are mostly in India and price sensitive, Android alone is a sensible first release: it reaches the larger share of phones and skips the App Store review and the yearly Apple fee. If you sell to a premium, NRI or US audience, you will want iPhone from day one. Because the app is React Native, choosing Android first does not lock you out of iOS; the second store is an extension of the same code, not a rebuild.

What does the Play Store actually require?

A Play Console developer account, a privacy policy, a completed Data safety form, a content rating, and a build that targets a recent Android API level. Google raises that target level on a schedule, and apps that fall behind lose visibility on newer devices. We complete the form from what the app actually collects, since a mismatch is one of the common reasons for a rejection or a later takedown.

Will the app work on cheap Android phones?

That is the case we test for first. We run builds on low-RAM phones and on a throttled connection, keep screens light, cache what can be cached, and avoid libraries that bloat the install.
