A dedicated engagement makes sense when the roadmap is ongoing and the work doesn't have a natural end, or when you need someone embedded in your standup and your codebase week after week.

Yes, before anything is signed. You're bringing someone into your codebase and your standup — a fifteen-minute conversation is the cheapest way to find out whether that works. If the fit is wrong we propose someone else rather than pushing ahead.

There's a daily overlap with US Eastern, Central and Pacific mornings for standups and calls, and the rest of the day runs while you're asleep — so you review progress at the start of yours. Most clients find the overnight cycle an advantage once they've adjusted. Calls happen at 9am your time, not ours.

You do, from the moment it's written. IP assignment is in the contract, and work lands in your repository and your cloud accounts from day one rather than being staged in ours and handed over later. There's never a moment where handover is a thing that has to happen.
