AI voice agents

AI voice agents that answer the calls you are missing

Phone agents that pick up on the first ring, answer the questions your team answers forty times a week, book the appointment into your real calendar, and hand over to a person the moment the call needs one.

Bring a week of missed-call data. That number is usually the whole business case.

Quick answer

What does an AI voice agent cost, and will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Mana Studio builds AI phone agents that answer on the first ring, handle the questions a team answers dozens of times a week, book appointments into a real calendar, and transfer to a person the moment the call needs one. The published packages are the US price list: a reception agent from $699, a booking agent at $1,799 and a multi-line setup at $3,499; India projects are quoted to scope. Ongoing telephony and model usage is billed to the client's own provider accounts rather than marked up. Callers are told they are speaking to an AI — the agent says so, because pretending otherwise is both a poor experience and, in a growing number of jurisdictions, a legal problem; in practice callers do not mind an agent that answers immediately and books them in. The setup routes an existing number through the agent, or forwards to it only when the line is busy or out of hours, so nothing has to be reprinted. When a caller wants a human it transfers immediately with a summary attached, and it transfers on its own initiative when it detects frustration or hits a question it is not confident about. Numbers, recordings, transcripts, keys and provider accounts are all in the client's name — call recordings are customer data and should never sit in a vendor's account. Mana Studio is based in Warangal, Telangana, India, works with clients in India, the United States, the United Kingdom and the UAE in English, Telugu and Hindi, and replies to enquiries within one business day.

The case for a voice agent is almost never “we want AI”. It is a missed-call log. A clinic that loses four bookings a day to a busy line, a workshop where the phone rings while everyone is under a car, a business whose enquiries arrive at 8pm when the office closed at 6. Those calls do not leave a voicemail. They call the next number on the results page.

A voice agent earns its cost against that number and nothing else. If your calls are being answered well today, we will tell you not to buy one. Where they are not, the agent picks up every time, knows your services, hours, prices and address, asks the two or three questions a receptionist would, and writes the booking into the same calendar your team already works from.

The engineering that matters is the handover, not the voice. What happens when the caller is angry, when the question is outside the script, when the line is bad, when somebody says “let me speak to a person”. We design those paths first, because a voice agent that traps a customer in a loop does more damage than the missed call it replaced.

What a voice agent handles

Reception and call answering

Answers on the first ring, 24/7, with your business hours, services, location and pricing. Takes a message with the caller's details attached where it cannot help, so nothing arrives as “missed call, unknown number”.

Appointment booking

Checks real availability, books into your actual calendar, confirms by SMS or WhatsApp, and handles the reschedule and cancel calls that eat a receptionist's morning.

Lead qualification on the phone

Asks the questions that separate a buyer from a browser, scores against your criteria, and routes a live caller straight to a salesperson when the answers justify it.

Overflow and after-hours

Sits behind your existing line and picks up only what your team does not, the second simultaneous caller, the 9pm enquiry, the lunch hour. Your staff keep the calls they are best at.

Outbound follow-up calls

Confirmation, reminder and no-show follow-up calls, where the alternative is a person working a list. Consent and opt-out are handled as part of the build, not bolted on.

Human handover, designed first

Transfer to a real person on request, on frustration, or on anything the agent is not confident about, with the conversation summarised for whoever picks up. Every call is recorded and logged.

How we work

How a voice agent project runs

01

Count the missed calls first

We start with your call data, not a demo. If the volume does not justify the build, that is the recommendation and it costs you nothing.

02

Script the real calls, including the awkward ones

Built from the calls your team actually takes, the price haggle, the wrong-number, the angry one, rather than a happy-path flow that collapses on contact with a customer.

03

Test on your own recordings

Evaluated against real past calls so there is a measured containment and booking rate before it answers a live customer.

04

Launch behind your line

Overflow first, the agent takes what your team cannot, then more of the volume as the logs earn it. Every number, key and recording stays in your accounts.

What it costs

Voice agent packages are published in full for the US market. India projects are quoted to scope after the call-volume review, because telephony setup varies more than the agent itself does.

AI Voice Agent Development — frequently asked questions

How much does an AI voice agent cost?

The published packages are the US price list: a reception agent from $699, a booking agent at $1,799, and a multi-line setup at $3,499. Ongoing telephony and model usage is billed to your own provider accounts rather than marked up. India projects are quoted to scope.

Will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Yes, and the agent says so. Pretending otherwise is both a bad experience and, in a growing number of places, a legal problem. In practice callers do not mind an agent that answers immediately and books them in. They mind one that wastes their time.

Can it use our existing phone number?

Yes. The usual setup routes your existing number through the agent, or forwards to it only when your line is busy or out of hours. You do not have to publish a new number or reprint anything.

What happens if the caller wants a human?

It transfers, immediately, with a summary of the conversation so far so the caller does not repeat themselves. It also transfers on its own initiative when it detects frustration or hits a question it is not confident about.

Is a voice agent better than a chatbot?

It is different, not better. If your customers call, a voice agent captures what the phone loses; if they message, a chatbot does more for less money. We look at where your enquiries actually arrive before recommending either, see our AI chatbot development page.

Who owns the call recordings and data?

You do. Numbers, recordings, transcripts, keys and provider accounts are all in your name. That matters more here than elsewhere: call recordings are customer data, and they should never sit in a vendor's account.
