Should I try to rank for "New York" at all?+
Almost never for a local service business. Those terms are held by directories, aggregators and national brands with budgets you can't match, and even a win delivers geographically useless traffic — someone in Staten Island searching a city-level term isn't going to your Chelsea location. Neighbourhood and borough terms are dramatically cheaper, genuinely winnable, and bring people who can walk to you. We'd rather build you eight pages that rank than one that doesn't.
How many neighbourhoods should I target?+
Only the ones you genuinely serve, which for most New York businesses is three to six. The temptation is to build forty; that produces thin, near-duplicate pages that Google reads as doorway content and can damage the whole site. Better to have five pages with real local substance — the specific streets, the nearest subway lines, the actual local context — than forty templated ones.
Why is your price so much lower than a New York agency's?+
Because essentially none of our cost base is in New York. Our engineers are in Hyderabad and Warangal, there's no Manhattan lease, and there's no sales team taking a cut. The technical work is the same — same stack, same performance and schema standards, and you own the code either way. What you don't get is someone in your office, and if you need that we'll say so rather than take the project.
Do I need my site in a language other than English?+
In New York, often yes, and which language is entirely local to you. Spanish across much of the Bronx, Upper Manhattan and parts of Queens; Chinese in Sunset Park, Flushing and Chinatown; Russian in south Brooklyn; Bengali and Urdu in parts of Queens and the Bronx. It's worth basing this on where your customers actually come from rather than a general rule — a single well-chosen second language beats three half-maintained ones.
Are you actually based in New York City?+
No — and we say so on the page rather than renting a virtual office address to imply otherwise. Our team is in Hyderabad and Warangal, India, and we work with New York City businesses remotely: video calls, WhatsApp, and a live preview link you can open at any point during the build. What is genuinely local is the work itself — your Google Business Profile, the New York City search terms we target, the competitors we benchmark you against, and the schema that tells Google exactly which area you serve.
How do I pay you from NY?+
Wire or ACH, Zelle, credit card through Stripe, PayPal or Wise — invoiced in USD, with a proper invoice for your accountant. Payment is milestone-based: 40% to begin, the remainder as you approve deliverables. There is no retainer and no minimum contract on the build work.
What are your hours compared to New York City?+
India runs 9.5 to 13.5 hours ahead depending on your time zone and the season, which works in your favour more than against it: work happens while you sleep, and you review it in the morning. Calls are scheduled for your evening, which is our morning. Anything urgent gets a WhatsApp reply the same day.
What if the project goes wrong?+
You own the code, the domain, the hosting account and every asset from the first day — not at handover, from the beginning. If you stop working with us, everything is already yours and there is nothing to extract. The price is agreed in writing before work starts. Websites start at $799.
