Should I target Chicago or my neighbourhood?+
Your neighbourhood, for almost any local business. Chicago is organised into 77 community areas and residents identify with theirs specifically — a Logan Square customer isn't travelling to Hyde Park for a routine service. City-level terms are contested by national brands and directories, and even a win delivers traffic spread across a city nobody crosses. Three to six neighbourhood pages with real local substance beat one city page consistently.
Should a Naperville or Oak Brook business compete on Chicago terms?+
No, and it's a costly habit. The collar suburbs — Naperville, Aurora, Schaumburg, Oak Brook, Oak Park, Evanston — have substantial business populations and far less competition than downtown. A Naperville firm chasing Chicago terms is fighting agencies with ten times the budget for traffic 30 miles away. We keep a separate Naperville page for exactly this reason.
Which language should I add for a Chicago business?+
Whichever your customers use, and in Chicago that's genuinely neighbourhood-specific. Spanish across Pilsen, Little Village and much of the southwest and northwest sides. Chinese in Chinatown and Bridgeport. Polish in parts of the northwest side. Arabic and South Asian languages in specific corridors. We'd look at where your customers actually come from rather than apply a rule, and build one properly maintained version rather than several neglected ones.
My site is old and on WordPress. Rebuild or fix?+
Frequently fix, and we'd audit before recommending either. A lot of Chicago businesses are running sites built a decade ago that are structurally fine but slow, plugin-heavy and poor on mobile. Performance, mobile and schema work on that is a fraction of a rebuild's cost and often most of the benefit. If the platform is genuinely unmaintainable we'll say so instead.
Are you actually based in Chicago?+
No — and we say so on the page rather than renting a virtual office address to imply otherwise. Our team is in Hyderabad and Warangal, India, and we work with Chicago businesses remotely: video calls, WhatsApp, and a live preview link you can open at any point during the build. What is genuinely local is the work itself — your Google Business Profile, the Chicago search terms we target, the competitors we benchmark you against, and the schema that tells Google exactly which area you serve.
How do I pay you from IL?+
Wire or ACH, Zelle, credit card through Stripe, PayPal or Wise — invoiced in USD, with a proper invoice for your accountant. Payment is milestone-based: 40% to begin, the remainder as you approve deliverables. There is no retainer and no minimum contract on the build work.
What are your hours compared to Chicago?+
India runs 9.5 to 13.5 hours ahead depending on your time zone and the season, which works in your favour more than against it: work happens while you sleep, and you review it in the morning. Calls are scheduled for your evening, which is our morning. Anything urgent gets a WhatsApp reply the same day.
What if the project goes wrong?+
You own the code, the domain, the hosting account and every asset from the first day — not at handover, from the beginning. If you stop working with us, everything is already yours and there is nothing to extract. The price is agreed in writing before work starts. Websites start at $1,049.
